THOUGHTS

This page works as both a container for certain ideas. You can find "everyday" stuff on my blog. As with many things on this site, it is still unfinished, and lacks a reply section. Until then, you may contact me on oxodarap(at)proton.me if you have anything interesting to share :)

a short note after working further on this site (13th february, 2025)

I have been using the internet for as long as I remember. One of my oldest memories consists of playing a Mario ripoff on some old flash games website. Since then, I have always wanted to be able to manipulate this very curious tool which seemingly enables infinite creativity for those with the patience to learn. And for years I've tried, either from creating blogs on wordpress, profiles on mainstream social media or just being a random anon writing on someone else's guestbook. And now, I present this webpage, not built solely by my effort, but with the help of millions of others who have shaped my vision of the world until now. And well, I hope this proves to be the start of something interesting :)

about wisdom (22nd january, 2025)

it's somewhat very surprising to get older. when I was younger I thought I would be able to "solve" all of my problems with the "perfect knowledge", and that led me to study loads of philosophy in the hopes of finding the "solution" to life. it did not happen, and it led me to base myself on rational theoretical knowledge, with some form of nihilism being the only logical explanation of the world. but as I lived more, real things that happened to me showed that practice is much more valuable than mere knowledge. practice is what really happens. it is the way life exists, the way it moves and breathes. I am still a highly "rational" person, thinking a lot about my life and my choices. it still helps me some times, despite the many errors I made and the suffering it caused. but with age and reflection comes wisdom, which is that "perfect knowledge" - but it is not a solution, rather a way of living. it is a guide for the unknown future. it is not perfect. it is not knowledge. it is much more gnostic, in the sense that it is a feeling, an irrational (or unconscious) mind event, based on experience. life must be lived to be lived better, and we must use all the weapons we have to survive its challenges. the reward is wisdom.
